What to Expect

Students in Classroom

Teachers, students, and parents come to you for answers. But sometimes you have questions too.

Principals Clinic will help you find the answers from within the scope of traditional education.

In classroom observations, you’ll see firsthand

  • Ways to cover the Abeka material while maintaining personal style
  • How to integrate technology
  • Effective patterns for high school scheduling
  • Methods to keep students engaged
I would strongly encourage everybody to attend the Principals Clinic. We actually attended just before we started our school. And the information we got helped us on day one of the first day of our school. We adopted some of the principles, and they have been invaluable. I would encourage anyone who starts a school to make this priority one, to come to the Principals Clinic. It’s tremendously helpful.

Admission and Evaluation of Students
Attending Principals Clinic was one of the best decisions I made as a first-year principal. I received practical suggestions to use in the classroom, helpful tips in how to manage and lead my faculty and students, and biblical insights for developing myself and my team towards becoming leaders who reflect Christ. I left Principals Clinic refreshed, encouraged, and inspired to use what I learned to further grow our school.

Note from the President

Pensacola Christian Academy has a rich heritage of nearly 70 years in Christian education. Over that time, through the vision of Dr. and Mrs. Arlin Horton, we have developed tried-and-true methods for successfully operating a vibrant Christian school ministry.

Principals Clinic is designed to inspire principals, administrators, and pastors to greater servant-leadership and effectiveness, while offering in-depth solutions for common administrative procedures. Our skilled, professional staff will share invaluable knowledge and proven techniques so you’ll be thoroughly prepared in a variety of key topics. And the Office track for secretaries and office staff will greatly benefit your personnel.

FAQs

Who can attend Principals Clinic?

Principals Clinic is available for Christian school principals, administrators, pastors, and office staff.

Would this be beneficial for a school that uses multiple curricula, rather than just Abeka?

While the clinic is specifically meant to be a help to Abeka users, the principles covered are beneficial for any Christian school teaching with traditional education methods.

How do we register?

Schools may begin registering online early fall.

What is your vendor number? The public school board will pay for us to attend Principals Clinic.

We are unable to accept government funds of any kind. Also, we cannot accept “pass through” funds (money paid to reimburse a school that has paid the fee).

Can we purchase meals for a spouse who is not attending the sessions?

Meals for the clinic are limited to delegates only. Your spouse could purchase individual meals at the college dining facilities, but the clinic delegates will be eating in other locations.

When we attend the clinic, may we bring high school students to see Pensacola Christian College? How do I register the students?

Yes, you may! Please call 850-969-1696 to register any high school students wishing to visit PCC. Note that residence hall lodging is not available.

How do we notify you of changes, cancellations, or additions?

For any changes, cancellations, or additions to your group, please call 850-969-1632.

When do I need to cancel to get a refund?

If canceling, contact us before check in at 850-969-1632 so we can issue a refund.

May we preview or purchase Abeka materials while we are there?

Yes, many materials will be on display for you to review. A few items may be individually purchased and larger orders may be placed and then shipped to your school.

May we tour the Abeka facilities?

In order to protect our customers’ privacy and reduce distractions for our customer service representatives, tours are not available.

How many contact hours will I receive?

Each track offers up to 12 contact hours.

When will I receive my contact hour certificates?

Your contact hour certificates will be emailed to each recipient within a few weeks after the clinic.
